PROFILE: Maria and Mark (catmadsitters)

We started house sitting in early 2014, after selling / donating all the stuff we had accumulated whilst living in New Zealand for a few years. 3 years of nomadic life and 13 countries later, we returned to Europe (where we are originally from) and set up a little home base in Eastern Europe.

We love the balance that this new arrangement has brought to our lives – we still get to house sit for several months a year, which we love, whilst also having a place to call home where we can relax, recharge batteries, and enjoy being a part of the community and having an active social life. We feel we now have the best of both worlds!

Whilst house sitting, we care almost exclusively for cats and are known as the “CatMadSitters.com”. We are also the people behind HouseSitSearch.com, as “outed” by Ian and Vanessa in their House Sitting Magazine 🙂
